People walk for many reasons.

Some seek silence.
Some leave something behind.
Some are searching for clarity, direction.
Or simply space to breathe.

Sontiaga is a collection of personal stories from people walking the Camino.

Not about religion. Not about performance.
But about the human stories within the journey.

It's about the invisible backpack people carry.

Hi, I'm Sonia.

For many years, I have been living in a small village in Switzerland, on the Camino.

Every spring, pilgrims start to pass in front of my house — alone or in groups, silent or talkative, tired or full of energy.

And again and again, I find myself wondering:
What brings a person here?

What happens before someone decides to leave home and walk for weeks?

So many faces. So many reasons.

I have long been interested in the moments when people quietly change direction in life.

Why did you start walking?
What do you want to leave behind?
What are you hoping for?

A few honest lines are enough.
